A Conclusion from Box Art : Gears of War 2 by Joystiq

The trailer of Gears of War 2 at GDC (Game developer conference) said very little, as you very well know that there will be more chainsaws and adrenaline (*yawn*), Joystiq has finally decided to do the usual for the upcoming games : Analyse the Box-Art.

Since Gears of War 2 was one of the games to tell …well..practically nothing new at the GDC, Joystiq after the analysis has come up with the following results, you definitely need to have at least 60 $ for the game as it clearly displays “Limited Edition”, don’t know whats that supposed to mean though.

Finally…Ninja Gaiden 2 to be released on June 3rd in North America.

Tomonobu Itagaki from Tecmo (leading Team Ninja) walked up the stage of GDC. The huge LCD flashed “The Temple of Sacrifice” and oh yeah, before that “May contain content inappropriate for children”. Anyway, as soon the it started a limb flew somewhere and a chainsaw arm doing that ‘rrrrr-rrrrrrrrrr’ sound and blood filled the screen. Check the video on Gamevideos. This time there is a special feature, the game records a screenshot of a fighting scene for you to share it on Xbox live. Itagaki announced that the game would be released on the 360 platform on June 3rd in North America.

Want to know the 15 most annoying characters of all time?

We sometimes love every other game that is crawling irrespective of its popularity. But to be honest, tell me - has anyone got angry when a particular character of a game cannot do a double jump or maybe an attack which when some other character does causes destruction? You get annoyed with the character and say “F**K this a******”. Cracked.com has come up with the list of the 15 most annoying characters of all time. Check it out. Some of these include that stupid dog from duck hunt of the 8-bit video game and also the so-called baby mario (lol), and also the cops from Road Rash. Now thats funny! :D

This is the moment nearly millions of people or rather gamers have been waiting for. A step close to making it official at the olympics. Yes, my dear ladies and gentlemen, GGL have made video games a “Welcome event” at
the Beijing, 2008 olympics. The GGL(Global Gaming league) has made a deal to make video games an official welcome event at the olympics. That is definitely a step towards “Gold”.

Stats for 2007 console wars:Clash of the Titans

Games Radar has tallied up the stats of the first half of the 2007 year to see who’s winning the console war in 2007 alone. Using stats from January to June, the DS is dominating with 2.7 million sales and the Wii is not far behind with 2.1 million. The Xbox 360 and PSP are tied at 1.3 million each and the PS3 trails far behind with 763,000 sales. They also got the top 10 game sales for the first half of the year and 6 of the top 10 are for Nintendo, the PS2 and 360 each getting 2 each. Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony - Titans of the videogame industry and sworn enemies on the console battlefield. But which of them is winning the war in 2007?

Total hardware sales in 2007 are:

DS: 2.7 million

Wii: 2.1million

Xbox 360: 1.3 million

PSP: 1.3 million

PS3: 763k

As you can see the PS3 numbers look decidedly unhealthy in comparison and Nintendo is currently cutting the competition.

Now thats totally horror!

Its the ultimate level and you just have +1 health to stay alive, not a problem? Well, let me design the level for you, its a cave with no lights ; monsters everywhere and weird noises with every step you take…already i-am-going-to-pee-in-my-pants situation?

“The best scary-game designers have quietly perfected the interplay of tension and release that makes for a truly cardiac horror experience,” Clive Thompson writes. “They have, in a sense, become even more faithful interpreters of the horror tradition movies than Hollywood directors.”

It is true that these kind of situations make you step into the character itself, but hey the content is not in real-life. . .so sit back relax and chill but if you are still not convinced its time to buy a nappy ;)

Coming Sept 25th, Crysis first ever demo.

Is your computer ready? Does it have what it takes …?Double check it and train your rig to withstand some heavy graphics, three dimensional structures and are all those fans enough? But most of all Are you ready?

If the answer is yes, be prepared to keep your checks ready because you will be viewing the first demo of Crysis on September 25th. It might give you an idea of what kind of monster you need to tame Crysis.

I will personally make sure that I give you the link for the official site.

Look out for Halo wars demo on XBL.

A rumor has it that Halo wars demo or video like thing will appear on the XBL today. Harter Ryan, executive producer, Ensemble studios has hinted at some sort of media release on Monday. He was quoted saying this at Leipzig, “we’re showing a demo that’ll be available on Monday

This could mean that either its some promotion video or a game demo (I prefer the latter). Anyways keep your eyes open for any four lettered word which starts with H and ends with O. ;)

Complete this level by…doing nothing?!!

Apparently this level is way out of what you would call the “Think out of the box” thing. Don’t think, just relax calm down and do nothing but still win the level here. Apparently I think that the Devs forgot to incorporate the “Kill the boss, to win the level” thing. :D
